In the early days of July, when the water level of the Da River dropped, a lush green grass field over 2 hectares appeared in the riverside area of Muong Khoa village, Ta Khoa commune, Son La province.
The poetic scenery in the middle of the lake creates a new destination, attracting many people and tourists to visit, take photos, and camp.

Looking down from above, the grass stretches along the blue Da River, standing out in the Northwest mountains and forests. The young grass carpet covers the alluvial ground, combined with clear blue water and overlapping mountain ranges, creating a peaceful scene, close to nature.
Many families and groups of friends take advantage of the weekend to bring tents and food to have fun and rest. The spacious, flat space and fresh air make this place a check-in point shared by many people on social networks.
Mr. Lu Van Tuyen, Vice Chairman of Ta Khoa Commune People's Committee, said that about two weeks ago, when the water level of the Da River receded sharply, the riverside area in Muong Khoa village began to have green lawns covering more than 2 hectares.
According to the annual rule, when the water level of the Da River drops low, the alluvial ground along the river will be exposed. This year, the grass grows green and luxuriant, creating a beautiful landscape, contributing to embellishing the riverside area and attracting people and tourists to visit, take photos, and play. Local authorities also recommend that people maintain environmental hygiene and ensure safety when playing near the river area," Mr. Tuyen said.
Coming to the grasslands along the Da River for the first time, Ms. Dinh Thi Nhu, Phu Yen commune, could not hide her excitement at the natural scenery here.
The grass is lush green, wide and very beautiful. The space is airy, the front is the Da River, the back is the mountains, so taking pictures from any angle is beautiful. My family and I spent the whole afternoon strolling and saving many souvenir photos," Ms. Nhu shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Ha Phuong Thuy, a tourist from Phu Tho province, said that on the way to Son La, when passing through Ta Khoa commune, she suddenly saw a green grass carpet stretching along the river, so she decided to stop the car to visit.
I didn't think there would be such a beautiful lawn in the middle of summer by the Da River. The scenery is very peaceful, the air is cool, and the photos are very beautiful. This trip brought me an unexpected experience," Ms. Thuy said.
Not only possessing natural beauty, the grasslands along the Da River also open up another attractive stop on the tourist route through Ta Khoa commune.
With pristine scenery, spacious space and pleasant climate, this place promises to continue to attract a large number of tourists during the time when the water level of the Da River is still low.
