Taking place in two days, July 3-4, the 2026 Thuan Chau Commune Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival stands out with the restoration of the Xen Ban Festival.
The festival recreates traditional rituals including Xen at Tu Sua Tu, Tu Sua Nua and Te Ta ritual. This is a ritual to pray for peace in the village, bumper crops, healthy people, and a prosperous life.
After the ritual part, the sound of gongs and drums harmonized with traditional xoe dances, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate. The festival space is rich in Thai ethnic cultural identity.
The restoration of the Xen Ban Festival contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, educating the young generation about the heritage of our ancestors. At the same time, this is also a unique cultural tourism product, contributing to attracting tourists to Thuan Chau.
Mr. Do Ngoc Quang, Vice Chairman of Thuan Chau Commune People's Committee, said that the festival is organized to preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups, strengthen the great unity bloc, and at the same time promote the local image and promote tourism development associated with traditional cultural values.
In addition, the festival also has many attractive activities such as the "Bếp bản" contest, sports competitions, folk games, visits to OCOP booths, agricultural products, brocade, traditional cuisine and local specialties.
