With just over three weeks left, the 2026 Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival with the theme "Tinh hoa Xoe Thai - Colors of the Northwest" will officially open.
On the fields that are in the harvest season, people are busy with farming work; when evening falls, thousands of people hold hands again on the training ground, preparing for the "dai xoe" circle.

In the evening at Golden Field Square, music echoed, hands joined together. Some had just left the field, some had just finished their housework, but just a few minutes later they joined the familiar rhythm of the xoe dances.
According to the plan, the big Xoe performance will have the participation of 2,026 people, of which Nghia Lo ward mobilized 600 people, Trung Tam ward 500 people, Cau Thia ward 500 people and Lien Son commune 426 people.
The figure of 2,026 is not only associated with the year of the festival. It is also the image of thousands of people holding hands, walking together in a circle, creating a common rhythm of the community.

Ms. Dong Thi Men - Chairwoman of the Nghia Lo Ward Women's Union - said that to have a team of thousands of people, the work of mobilizing actors also faces many difficulties.
At this time, Muong Lo is entering the harvest season. People are busy harvesting rice, tilling the soil and preparing for the next production season.
Difficulties are there, but the sisters are very excited. Everyone wants to participate, to contribute to the success of the "dai xoe" dance" - Ms. Men said.

Ms. Vi Thi Binh shared that each person has their own job and rhythm of life, but when entering the "xoe" circle, all distances seem to be erased.
Xoe dances have become a part of community life, present in the joyful days of the village, in meetings and gatherings.
Hands holding each other, footsteps moving together not only create the beauty of a dance, but also a symbol of community cohesion.

According to the plan, the 2026 Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival takes place from September 25 to October 2.
The highlight is the opening program at 8:00 PM on September 26th at Nghia Lo ward stadium.
The program is organized in an art space imbued with Northwest cultural colors, with a solidarity ballet performance with the participation of 2,026 people.
Within the framework of the festival, there will be a space to introduce culture and tourism of ethnic groups in the Northwest region; an art photo exhibition about Xoe Thai heritage and the beauty of the Northwest region; a tourism fair; a street parade program and many community tourism activities.

Tourists coming to Muong Lo on this occasion will also have the opportunity to experience local life through the program "One day living with Thai village" organized by Nghia Lo ward.
In Trung Tam ward, national sports and the space "Flowers and fruits of four seasons - Experience and connection" will take place.

Cau Thia ward organizes a folk cultural festival associated with agricultural tourism tours, while Lien Son commune plans to organize a raft race and check-in points to serve tourists.
The series of activities is also connected to many cultural, sports and tourism events in other localities such as the Shan Tuyet tea festival in Van Chan commune, the "Mu Cang Chai Ultra Trail" Marathon, and the "Flying on the Golden Season" paragliding activity in Tu Le commune...
