According to this comprehensive upgrade plan, except for the Queen Cable Car route and the Sun Hill amusement park (including the Sun Wheel, Japanese Garden, indoor amusement park, outdoor game items) and the longest roller coaster in Asia with 1.1km - "Phi Long Than Toc" still maintaining normal operation, Dragon Park will stop welcoming visitors from June 10, and Typhoon Water Park will enter the transition phase from September 2026.
This transformation will bring a new face, a new stature to Sun World Ha Long, with the orientation of becoming a 24/7 đẳng cấp entertainment complex, bringing an open-air park model by the bay of wonders for all ages, with diverse experiences from a day and night vibrant entertainment, culinary and service ecosystem.
Inspired by Clarke Quay - a symbolic entertainment complex on the riverside of the Lion City island nation of Singapore - the new Sun World Ha Long complex opens up a festival axis, bustling shopping area, food restaurants; outdoor bars and pubs with direct views of the wonder bay; music stages and world-class event space...
In particular, the entire festival axis area and shopping and culinary areas... are designed with multi-colored canopies with their own identity. This helps entertainment activities take place throughout the four seasons, regardless of weather conditions, contributing to gradually eliminating the seasonality that is a difficult problem for a potential destination like Quang Ninh.

The highlight that creates the most attraction in the new complex will be two art shows and fireworks displays invested on a scale worthy of international standards - expected to be performed regularly at the central stage of the new Sun World Ha Long and Sun Carnival Square next door. These promise to be entertainment "magnets", extending stay time, increasing tourist spending and contributing to realizing the goal of promoting nighttime economic development for Quang Ninh.
In addition, the complex is also systematically invested in landscape with an indoor artificial water canal system, poetic bridges, artistic fountains and brilliant four-season flower carpets, creating a romantic experience space, meeting the entertainment needs of the community around the park as well as sightseeing and relaxing activities of tourists from all directions.
Located on the shore of the world natural heritage bay, stretching over an area of more than 214ha, Sun World Ha Long is the leading entertainment complex in Northern Vietnam with three main categories: Dragon Park, Tornado Water Park and Queen - Sun Hill Cable Car.
Since its opening in 2016, the complex has welcomed millions of visitors each year, not only a symbol of Quang Ninh tourism but also a top attractive destination in the North.
However, after more than 10 years of operation, this model has gradually revealed limitations due to the seasonal characteristics of Quang Ninh tourism. This transformation of Sun World Ha Long is a comprehensive repositioning strategy, aimed at creating a 24/7 international-class entertainment complex, increasing the experience for tourists to the heritage area, creating a foundation for the development of the night economy in Ha Long, meeting the four-season tourism trend and at the same time improving the competitiveness of Quang Ninh tourism.
