In the first 3 months of 2026, tourism activities in Da Nang City were vibrant. According to the Statistics Office, in March alone, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments is estimated at nearly 1.5 million, an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of 2026, the total number of overnight visitors is estimated at 4.206 million, an increase of 15.3% compared to the first quarter of 2025. Of which, international visitors with more than 2.344 million (up 16.2%), domestic visitors reached more than 1.862 million (up 14.1%).
Revenue from accommodation and catering services in the first quarter is estimated at 14,426 billion VND, accounting for 21.8% of the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of the whole city. Revenue from catering services reached an increase of 17.6%.
According to the Statistics Office, Da Nang has proactively renewed itself with a series of high-quality events and service products. Tourism stimulus programs are continuously organized such as: "Da Nang - Touching the Original", campaign "I Love Da Nang - I Love Da Nang". The city also focuses on developing into a MICE tourism center (tourism combined with conferences), golf and health care. Strengthening links with airlines to expand international routes and welcome high-class cruise ships right from the beginning of the year. Travel tourism also recorded positive signs with estimated revenue reaching 957 billion VND, an increase of 8.5% compared to the same period. The number of tourists traveling on tours reached more than 311 thousand, of which international visitors accounted for nearly half.
Stepping into the second quarter, with the key event being the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026) and the Ao Dai Festival, Da Nang expects to continue to create a major "push". The city is urgently completing key infrastructure projects, while tightening management of the tourism environment and service prices to maintain the image of a safe, friendly and quality destination.
