In 2025, Vietnamese tourism achieved many impressive results, with 21.5 million international visitors, exceeding the 2019 record; 135.5 million domestic visitors; total revenue from tourism exceeded 1 million billion VND. This achievement has the contribution of nearly 40,000 tourism businesses and more than 2.5 million direct workers in the entire industry.
Speaking to direct the Conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong affirmed that in 2025, Vietnam's tourism industry achieved many outstanding results, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

In addition to increasing the number of visitors, the industry needs to pay special attention to quality. In which, focus on improving indicators such as accommodation time and tourist spending levels.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized that Vietnamese tourism should not develop at all costs, but resolutely aim for healthy, sustainable, rich, and attractive development.
According to him, Vietnam has a rich cultural foundation, unique identity and rich tourism resources, with a very large development potential. The Party and State focus on mobilizing public and social investment resources for tourism, while promoting overall, inter-sectoral development thinking, closely linking tourism with related fields.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong highly appreciated the Vietnam Tourism Association for its great contributions in promoting and promoting policy development and accompanying state management agencies in perfecting institutions and creating a favorable environment for businesses and workers in the industry.
In the coming time, the tourism industry will continue to develop in a green, responsible direction, both expanding scale and improving quality, effectively contributing to socio-economic development, creating sustainable livelihoods, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

At the Conference, the Vietnam Tourism Association announced typical events in 2025; Awarded decisions recognizing tourism businesses with VITA GREEN green tourism labels. At the same time, signed a cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Tourism Association and TikTok Vietnam.
In 2026, the Vietnam Tourism Association continues to strengthen coordination with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, actively implementing related contents in Resolution 08/NQ-BCT of the Politburo on Tourism Development into a spearhead economic sector; Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP of the Government on key tasks and solutions to accelerate the recovery and accelerate the development of effective and sustainable tourism and Directive No. 08/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in the coming time.
The Association will study and synthesize the proposals and recommendations of businesses to competent state agencies at the central and local levels to solve difficulties and obstacles of tourism businesses in the process of implementing policies and guidelines.
At the same time, research and organize activities to promote, survey, and build new tourism products; innovate and improve epidemic quality; focus on training, coaching, and fostering tourism nghiep vu.
The Vietnam Tourism Association and its affiliated units, local tourism associations and member business communities will focus on organizing many important promotional events in 2026.
