After its launch in Hanoi, the exhibition "Intersection of Vietnam" continues to be introduced at the Da Nang Museum, bringing a profound perspective on Vietnamese history and life through the works of three French photographers.

From April 17 to May 17, 2026, at the Da Nang Museum, the photography exhibition "Vietnam Intersection" will take place, gathering works by three French artists including Daniel Roussel, Gilbert Bertrand and Lily Franey.
The exhibition is organized by the French Institute in Vietnam in collaboration with the Da Nang Museum, after being launched within the framework of the Photo Hanoi International Photography Biennale ’25 at the French Embassy in Vietnam.
Through the works, the exhibition brings realistic slices of Vietnam through many different historical periods.
Prominent is Daniel Roussel's photo collection, recording Vietnamese life in the 1980s-1986s. In his role as a resident correspondent for L'Humanité newspaper, he portrayed everyday moments with an emotional perspective, reflecting the resilient spirit of Vietnamese people in the post-war period.
In addition, Gilbert Bertrand's black and white works, made in the period 1970-1975, have special historical value when recording important moments of the country. Although not a professional photographer, his photos are now highly appreciated both artistically and documentarily.
Closing the exhibition is a series of photos by Lily Franey, recording Vietnam from 1987 in the context of post-war reconstruction. Emotional frames clearly show the revival, hope and ordinary life of the people.
Not only is it an art exhibition activity, "Vietnam Intersection" also opens a journey connecting the past and present. Each photo is like a piece of history, contributing to recreating the development journey and changes of Vietnam through periods.
The exhibition is expected to bring to the public, especially young people, the opportunity to access valuable materials and humane perspectives on a historical period that has not been mentioned much in contemporary stories.
