According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, the National Day holiday on September 2nd this year, lasting four consecutive days (from August 31st to September 3rd), is an ideal time for tourism. The locality has prepared well for tourists and tightened management of prices, security and order, ensuring that tourists can have a comfortable and safe time.
Currently, international visitors to Phu Quoc come from more than 150 countries and territories with many direct international flights such as Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan (China)... and charter flights from Greece, Dubai (UAE), Singapore, Uzbekistan... In addition, there are international visitors from other localities in the country. Of which, Korea has the most flights to the pearl island with 4 airlines operating.
Mr. Bui Quoc Thai - Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism - said that 2024 is a boom year for international visitors to Phu Quoc, the number of international visitors to the pearl island is increasing. This number will increase when in October 2024, many international flights from countries in Central Asia, Northern Europe, and North America are resumed.
The number of domestic tourists is also expected to increase again when the locality implements many stimulus and promotion programs, many discount incentive packages suitable for the needs of each customer group such as families, companies, schools, etc.
Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee Tran Minh Khoa also said that during this year's National Day holiday, Phu Quoc is expected to welcome a large number of international visitors. Phu Quoc also has stimulus programs, incentives, discounts, and tightens management of tourism activities so that tourists can have a truly satisfying vacation on the pearl island.
