On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), Hanoi seems to put on a new outfit. Famous streets such as Hoang Dieu, Phan Dinh Phung, Trang Thi, Ly Thai To... are filled with the red color of flags, slogans and posters praising the achievements of the August Revolution and the continuous development of the country. The bright red color is not only a symbol of national pride but also the spirit of solidarity and strength of the people on important holidays.
In particular, the capital's prominent architectural works such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi Opera House... are also splendidly decorated, creating impressive highlights, attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and take souvenir photos. Shops, restaurants, and cafes are decorated with flags, banners, and many special promotional activities on the occasion of the holiday.
Not only is it an opportunity for Hanoians to express their patriotism, this event is also an opportunity for the younger generations to better understand the glorious history of the nation, thereby loving and appreciating the traditional values that their ancestors have left behind. Cultural and artistic activities, photo exhibitions, and art performances at parks and cultural centers are also organized to promote, educate and enhance national pride.
Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Notice No. 675/TB-UBND on hanging the national flag on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
