On April 19, responding to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dang Dong Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the provincial tourism industry is focusing on completing resources, especially high-quality human resources, to meet the requirements of sustainable development and best serve the 2025 tourism season.
Human resources are emphasized by Mr. Ha as a "key factor" in tourism development. Since the implementation of the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program No. 04, the sector has had many positive changes in the quality and quantity of workers. As of the end of 2024, the whole province has about 15,300 workers in the tourism sector, of which 384 tour guides have been granted practice cards.
Every year, more than 400 workers are trained in their expertise and skills.
"We have been organizing many training courses on communication skills, foreign languages, and digital skills to improve service capacity, especially in the context of digital transformation today," said Mr. Ha.
In addition, to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, the sector continues to synchronously deploy solutions such as effectively implementing integrated planning, creating conditions to attract investment, removing difficulties for businesses, developing new products and promoting communication and promotion.
In particular, during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays, the industry has proactively coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and localities to ensure environmental sanitation, food safety, security and order, fire prevention and fighting and service quality. Businesses are also encouraged to launch incentive and stimulus programs to attract tourists.
To meet the increasing demand of tourists, the Department also promotes the direction of diversifying tourism products, especially effectively exploiting the strengths of adventure, cave and resort tourism. At the same time, it requires accommodation establishments to upgrade service quality, register for business classes, and strictly implement the code of civilized behavior in tourism activities.
According to Mr. Ha, Quang Binh tourism is gradually affirming its position on the map of Vietnamese and international tourism.
