Before the peak holiday of April 30 - May 1 and summer 2026, the Quang Ninh Provincial Tourism Association coordinated with businesses to organize a famtrip with about 200 representatives from travel agencies, media agencies and KOLs across the country. This activity aims to survey the reality, and at the same time strengthen connections and promote local tourism products.
Within the framework of the program, delegations are divided into groups to experience a variety of products, from nightlife cruises on the bay, visiting fishing villages to surveying the system of high-class hotels, resort services, and hot springs. In addition, many new products are also introduced such as 2-story buses, three-deck boat tours on Ha Long Bay, contributing to enriching choices for tourists during peak seasons.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Member of the Executive Committee, representative of the Quang Ninh Provincial Tourism Association, said that in the context of the international market still having many fluctuations, the locality is proactively expanding the market and renewing products.
Mr. Hieu emphasized: "This year's goal is to welcome about 22 million visitors. Besides international visitors, the domestic market is being identified as a key one, with many product lines such as resort tourism, MICE, golf and especially music tourism.
Notably, on April 30 - May 1, a series of stimulus combo packages have been launched. Businesses combine accommodation, yachts and culinary experiences to extend the stay of tourists.
In parallel with that, the local cultural factor continues to be emphasized. In the bay area, many community living spaces such as Cua Van fishing village, Vung Vieng are restored; love duet performances have been restored since March 2026, bringing a close experience to the lives of fishermen.

In particular, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and the People's Committee of Hai Phong City have signed regulations on coordination in managing the operation of inland waterway vehicles transporting passengers and tourists on Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. The coordination regulations between the two localities will begin to be implemented from April 1, 2026.
According to Mr. Hieu, the connection of tourism space is also being promoted through the opening up of inter-regional routes.
The opening of routes will help tourists move more conveniently between Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba archipelago. At that time, visitors to Quang Ninh can expand their journey to Hai Phong and vice versa, thereby increasing experience, extending stay time and spending levels," said a representative of the Quang Ninh Provincial Tourism Association.
According to assessments by businesses, this is an important step in forming continuous tours between prominent destinations in the region, instead of individual exploitation as before. This linkage also contributes to reducing pressure on overloaded destinations, while opening up many new choices for tourists during the peak holidays and summer of 2026.
In addition, Ms. Hoang Thi Nuong - CEO of Hai Trinh Heritage Company - believes that exploiting cultural depth is the key to retaining tourists.
“We not only take tourists sightseeing but also let them ‘live like Vietnamese people’, from eating, wearing ancient costumes to enjoying folk musical instruments. Many international tourists are very touched when experiencing these values,” Ms. Nuong shared.

According to Ms. Nuong, the Bai Tu Long area - where the business's tourist boats focus on operating - still retains many pristine features, suitable for the trend of experiential tourism. Tourists can visit the fishing village, directly learn about the lives of fishermen, and enjoy the majestic natural landscape with thousands of limestone islands.
Not only renewing products, Quang Ninh also strengthens management to ensure a safe and transparent tourism environment. In key areas such as Bai Chay, inspection of price listing, food safety, environmental sanitation and handling of soliciting and sidewalk encroachment are tightened.
Along with that, a series of large-scale events are also being prepared for the holiday, such as Ha Long Carnival, hot air balloon festival and many community cultural and sports activities. This is expected to be a "push" to help Quang Ninh tourism accelerate in the summer.
With synchronous preparation from products, infrastructure to promotion, Quang Ninh is aiming for a vibrant tourism season on April 30 - May 1, not only attracting in quantity but also improving the quality of experience, gradually affirming its position as the leading destination of the country.
