According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, in the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh province welcomed nearly 5.7 million visitors, an increase of 6% over the same period in 2024 and an increase of 3% compared to the plan for 2025.
Of which, the number of domestic visitors reached about 4.5 million, international visitors are estimated at nearly 1.2 million. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND13,200 billion.
In 2025, Quang Ninh province plans to organize 170 cultural, sports and tourism programs and events, taking place centrally from April to September.
Of which, there are 24 international, national and provincial-level programs and events; 146 local-level programs and events. Many major events, held for the first time in Quang Ninh.
It is expected that in the second quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh will aim to welcome 5.3 million visitors, with an estimated revenue of VND 14,720 billion. The province will organize 50 tourism programs and events, including about 20 international, national and provincial-level events.
Ha Long City will organize many tourism stimulus activities. In particular, the Carnival 2025 Program will be one of the special events with the theme "Carnaval Ha Long 2025 - Connecting Heritage, Pioneering to shine".
