On June 25, at Van Minh village stadium, Muong Bu commune, the 1st Culture and Sports Festival in 2026 was held. The event created a joyful and exciting atmosphere, with the participation of a large number of people and tourists.
The festival has many attractive sports and folk games imbued with national identity such as stick pushing, crossbow shooting, tug-of-war, volleyball, con throwing, to mac le, tu lu and stilt walking.

The highlight of the festival is the display space of 20 booths from villages, sub-areas, cooperatives, and businesses in the commune.
Booths introduce OCOP products, typical agricultural products, ethnic cuisine, traditional embroidery, ethnic musical instruments, community tourism products and many unique handicrafts.

Ms. Lo Thi Huyen, Nang Phai village, shared: "Each booth introduces the unique cultural features of each village. This is an opportunity for people to promote local products and introduce traditional cultural values to tourists.
Mr. Trinh Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of Muong Bu Commune People's Committee, said: "The festival is not only an opportunity for people to exchange and compete in sports but also contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities. This is also an opportunity to promote the local image to tourists inside and outside the province.

Participating in the festival for the first time, Mr. Pham Ba Bac, a tourist from Chieng An ward, expressed his excitement at the exciting atmosphere of the program.
I am very impressed with the typical agricultural products of Muong Bu, especially traditional fruits and processed products. The festival is organized methodically, helping visitors understand more about the culture and life of local people," Mr. Bac said.

The festival contributes to spreading the cultural identity of ethnic groups, and at the same time promotes the image of friendly and potential Muong Bu to a large number of tourists inside and outside the province.
