On the afternoon of September 22, in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism coordinated with the Press Department to inform about the organization of the Vietnam Tourism Awards in 2025.
This is the most prestigious award in the tourism industry, honoring outstanding businesses, organizations, training facilities and media agencies.
Speaking at the event, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said that the 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards will be organized according to the new Law on Emulation and Reward; the project and regulations for organizing the awards have been publicly and widely posted on the websites of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The evaluation criteria are objective, specifically developed, transparent for each category, and clearly evaluated.
To date, the organizing committee has received more than 200 entries. The records of participating units are closely assessed, with confirmation from local management agencies, accurately reflecting the capacity of enterprises in terms of customer segmentation, revenue, rewards, and penalties (if any).
The businesses and units participating in this year's Vietnam Tourism Awards have diversity in business scale and business fields. Many criteria are suitable for small-scale enterprises such as restaurants, community tourism establishments, creative tourism products, green tourism, etc., said Director Nguyen Trung Khanh.
Currently, the development trend of tourism is towards green, sustainable, responsible tourism, application of technology, innovation... These are also the criteria integrated throughout 11 categories and 18 titles at this year's Vietnam Tourism Awards.
The Vietnam Tourism Awards are organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honor tourism businesses, prestigious organizations and training institutions, media agencies, and the press that have made positive contributions to the development of the Vietnam tourism industry.
The 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards honor organizations, businesses and training institutions that have made positive contributions to tourism; promoted the improvement of service quality, diversified products, built tourism brands; encouraged investment and innovation in vocational education; recognized efforts to protect the environment, sustainable development; enhanced international integration, promoted the image of Vietnam; at the same time, helping tourists access reputable, high-quality services.
This is not only an event to honor outstanding units, but also an opportunity to connect all parties from management, businesses, associations, training to communication, together aiming at sustainable tourism development, promoting the economy, encouraging investment, innovation, protecting resources and spreading cultural and social values.
This year is the 20th year of the Vietnam Tourism Awards. The 2025 Vietnam Tourism Awards Ceremony will be held on World Tourism Day (September 27) with the message of responding to sustainable tourism transformation launched by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).
The award ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. on September 27 in Hanoi and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
