Entering the peak summer tourist season, many destinations in Lam Dong recorded a sharp increase in the number of visitors. Along with the demand for resorts, experiential tourism and adventure sports products have also become a favorite choice for many tourists.
In the eastern area of Lam Dong province (old Binh Thuan area), many experiential activities are attracting many tourists such as water motorbikes, surfing, canoes, flyboards, coral diving or free diving. In addition, in the sand dunes, there are also off-road vehicles and ATV vehicles carrying tourists for sightseeing and photography.
These products bring novel experiences, increasing the attractiveness of tourist destinations. However, these are also types that pose a risk of unsafety if not organized properly or lacking the necessary assurance conditions.
Faced with the above reality, Mr. Vo Thanh Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, has just issued a document requesting localities, units and businesses to strengthen safety assurance for tourism products that may affect the health and lives of tourists.

According to the tourism industry, although many guiding and directing documents have been issued before, through review, there are still some organizations and individuals that have not fully implemented business conditions and safety regulations.
To minimize the risk of incidents, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Department of Construction to strengthen the management of water entertainment facilities; and at the same time guide localities to properly implement relevant legal regulations.

For communes, wards and special zones, management agencies are required to announce the opening and closing of operating areas according to regulations; strengthen inspection of operating areas, buoy limiting systems, warning signs, rescue plans and other safety conditions.
Tourist areas and attractions must also review all high-risk products operating within their management scope. Units that do not meet the conditions or operate outside the licensed scope will not be allowed to continue operating.
For travel businesses and service providers, functional sectors require only to organize operations when fully meeting the conditions on human resources, equipment, facilities and legal documents as prescribed.

Experiential tourism is becoming a strong development trend, contributing to creating more attraction for destinations and diversifying products to serve tourists. However, experience is only truly complete when safety is put first.
Tightening management not only aims to minimize risks but also contributes to improving service quality, building a professional, safe and sustainable tourism image.
