Setting a target of welcoming 300,000 tourists in 2025, since the beginning of the year, Co To district has proactively implemented communication and promotion campaigns on cyberspace and digital platforms.
The district is operating two tourism websites, Amazingcoto.vn and Cototourist.com, providing information about history, culture, accommodation, landscapes, with vivid images, videos and information about promotional programs and tourism stimulus.

The district has applied 360-degree VR virtual reality technology to help visitors experience and introduce destinations such as: Special National Monument Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site on Co To Island; Explore Co To Island, Truc Lam Pagoda, Mong Rong Stone Beach, Thanh Lan Island...
This form of experience helps visitors visit from a distance. 360-degree images combined with automatic explanations at tourist attractions effectively support the planning of actual tours.
Mr. Luu Duc Duong (born in 1980, Hai Phong City), a first-time visitor to Co To, shared: I got to know Co To through 360-degree VR technology, beautiful and attractive images, the more I watched it, the more curious I became. Co To is not only a famous tourist destination, but also a sacred land at the head of the Fatherland.

Along with digital transformation, green tourism is a direction being promoted by Co To. The "Net Zero tour" model - reducing carbon emissions in transportation, accommodation and dining - is applied by many businesses.
Some car rental businesses have used electric cars to gradually replace gasoline cars.
The district continues to develop tourism products and services that meet green criteria such as: accommodation facilities, non-waste plastic food and beverage services, non-waste plastic tours, tourism programs combined with garbage collection, etc.
According to the plan, Co To will deploy 6 pilot tours to islands such as: Hon Ca Chep, Hon Su Tu, Co To Con island, Tran island... in 2025.
Mr. Do Huy Thong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Co To district - said: "Developing tours to visit the islands not only contributes to promoting the cultural, natural and human values of Co To, but also promotes sustainable local economic development. This product will expand the tourism ecosystem, creating a spreading effect to the fields of transportation, accommodation, cuisine, aquaculture, telecommunications, consumption, etc. At the same time, it will contribute to raising awareness of environmental protection, preserving landscape and marine resources".
For tourists who love peace, the night camping service in Thanh Lan will be an ideal choice, helping tourists immerse themselves in nature, enjoy the sea and islands space at night.
Coral diving activities in Vung Tron, Hon Chim and Hon Ong Tich (Thanh Lan commune) offer the opportunity to admire the fascinating beauty under the ocean.
Developing tourism in the direction of digitalization and greening, Co To not only catches up with new trends but also gradually affirms its position as an attractive and friendly destination of Quang Ninh province.
The transformation journey of the island district at the head of the Fatherland is opening up new expectations, making tourism a spearhead economic sector and an important driving force for development in the following years.
