On the evening of February 13, an art program took place at the grounds of Co Tan An Temple with many special performances, attracting hundreds of people and tourists to watch.
The Co Tan An Temple Festival is one of the major and important festivals in the spiritual and cultural life of the people of Lao Cai province in particular and the whole country in general, contributing to the preservation and promotion of local cultural values.
The 2025 festival takes place from February 12 to 14, 2025 (ie from January 15 to 17) with a series of activities such as releasing flower lanterns, marches, parades from Co Temple to Bao Ha Temple...
In particular, the highlight this year is the drum festival and folk dance Dao "Red color in the fields" with the participation of 300 artisans and local people.
Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of Tan An Commune People's Committee Le Xuan Khoi emphasized that the art performance night to celebrate the festival is a special cultural event to propagate, introduce, and promote images of important events about the Co Tan An temple relic.

According to Vice Chairman of Tan An Commune People's Committee Le Xuan Khoi, the Tan An Temple festival is part of a folk festival system that preserves cultural identity, distilles the quintessence to pass on and educate future generations about the tradition of patriotism, national defense, and great national unity. Thereby, strengthening solidarity between ethnic groups, arousing the tradition of drinking water reminiscent of its source, and guiding people towards good.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (Lai Chau tourist) shared: My family and I went to Van Ban district to offer incense at Co Tan An temple to pray for health and fortune. The evening art program with many performances was extremely vibrant, attracting a large audience to watch. My whole family will stay until tomorrow (February 14) to watch the Red Dao traditional bell dance that has just been recognized as a Vietnamese record.
