Indian international television channel NDTV has just announced a list of 26 most worthwhile global destinations to experience in 2026. Notably, Ta Xua (Son La) is the only representative of Vietnam to be honored, standing next to famous landmarks such as Sapporo (Japan) or Cusco (Peru).

Ta Xua appearing in the list announced by NDTV shows that this destination is gradually attracting the attention of international media. According to the assessment of Indian television channels, the factor creating the attractiveness of the highlands of Son La lies in the relatively pristine natural landscape and is less affected by large-scale tourism exploitation activities.
In the context of famous destinations gradually becoming overloaded and commercialized, Ta Xua has emerged as a place for tourists to truly live slowly, immerse themselves in nature and regain inner balance.
NDTV's list of selected destinations for 2026 especially prioritizes locations outside the mass tourism map, places that bring the most authentic emotions to travelers.
NDTV describes Ta Xua as Vietnam's cloud hunting paradise, with trekking routes that have become symbols. Among them, "Dinosaur's Spine" - a narrow road about 2km long running along the top of the mountain with deep abysses on both sides and rolling white clouds is considered a must-try experience in life.

After the administrative boundaries rearrangement in 2025, Ta Xua commune was newly formed on the basis of merging three communes Ta Xua, Lang Cheu and Hang Dong, with a total expanded area of more than 230km2. Located at an altitude of over 2,800m above sea level, Ta Xua has a cool climate all year round, an ideal hot escape point when the summer temperature rarely exceeds 28°C.
The ideal time for international and domestic tourists to take the cloud hunting journey is from November to April next year. This is when temperature and humidity create the best conditions for white clouds to form.
The honor of international media is proof of the great tourism potential of the Northwest highlands, promising a booming year 2026 for experiential tourism in Vietnam.
