In the process of building Phu Quoc special zone into a "Model unit for security and order and urban civilization", the management of residence, management of conditional investment and business lines on security and order is identified as one of the key tasks, contributing to proactively preventing and effectively combating crimes and social evils.
Over the past time, the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order of An Giang Provincial Police has strengthened inspections of accommodation business establishments in Phu Quoc special zone, thereby promptly detecting and handling many cases of law violations, contributing to maintaining the stability of security and order right from the grassroots level.
Phu Quoc is currently a major tourist and service center, welcoming a large number of tourists every day to visit, relax, work and stay. Besides the favorable conditions for socio-economic development, this situation also poses a risk of the emergence of crimes, especially criminal, economic, drug, social evils subjects and wanted subjects from many other localities taking advantage of crowded areas and many accommodation establishments to hide and engage in illegal activities.
Faced with that situation, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order has proactively and synchronously deployed many professional measures, strengthened review and inspection of compliance with legal regulations at hotels, guesthouses, resorts, homestays, rental apartments and tourist accommodation establishments in the area.
The inspection content focuses on the implementation of registration and declaration of residence; residence management; conditions to ensure security and order; responsibilities of facility owners in coordinating to provide information to functional forces; and at the same time review cases with suspicious signs to promptly verify and handle according to regulations. Through inspection work, the Police force has detected many cases of violations of regulations on residence; promptly screened and detected subjects with previous convictions, wanted subjects and cases related to criminal activities, contributing to effectively supporting the work of fighting and preventing crime in the special zone.
In addition, the Police force also focuses on propaganda and raising the sense of responsibility of accommodation business owners in complying with the provisions of law on security and order. Many establishments have proactively and strictly implemented the update of accommodation information through electronic systems, coordinated to provide information to serve management work, contributing to improving the effectiveness of crime prevention right from the grassroots level. Thereby gradually forming a sense of self-awareness and responsibility to join hands in maintaining a safe, civilized, and healthy tourism environment in the Phu Quoc special zone.
With the motto of proactively preventing early and remotely, not allowing complex points of security and order to form, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order of An Giang Provincial Police is continuing to tighten the management of residence, management of conditional business lines on security and order; promoting the application of information technology in accommodation management, improving the effectiveness of inspection, supervision and coordination between functional forces.
Strengthening the inspection of accommodation rental establishments not only contributes to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of security and order but also demonstrates the determination of the Police force in effectively implementing the criteria of the Project to build Phu Quoc special zone into a "Model unit for security and order and urban civilization". Thereby, continuing to maintain a safe and stable environment to serve sustainable economic and tourism development, building a civilized, modern, and safe Phu Quoc special zone in the eyes of people and tourists.
