On May 11, An Giang Provincial Police welcomed and worked with the survey delegation of the Guard Command led by Major General Pham Van Hung, Deputy Commander of the Guard Command, to survey key locations, expected to serve activities within the framework of APEC 2027.
In the working program, the survey delegation directly inspected and evaluated the reality at many key points serving APEC 2027 Summit Week such as: APEC 2027 Conference Center - where the main activities of the conference are expected to take place; Phu Quoc Sun Hospital - a medical facility serving health care and emergency care for delegates; provincial road DT. 975 connecting Phu Quoc International Airport with APEC 2027 Conference Center and Phu Quoc International Airport area.
Through actual surveys, the working delegation focused on comprehensively assessing factors related to security and safety assurance such as geographical location, connecting transportation system, traffic diversion plans, control of people and vehicles, force arrangement, situation handling capacity, fire prevention and fighting, rescue and relief, as well as technical infrastructure conditions serving security and protection of high-level international delegations attending the event.
After surveying, the working delegation had a working session with An Giang Provincial Police and Sun Group to exchange and agree on many important contents related to coordination in developing protection plans. At the working session, the units focused on discussing and assessing advantages and difficulties, and at the same time proposed many solutions to proactively ensure absolute security and safety for all activities within the framework of APEC 2027 Summit Week.
Speaking to direct at the working session, Major General Pham Van Hung emphasized that APEC 2027 High-Level Week is a particularly important political and foreign affairs event, of international scale, attracting the attention of many heads of state, senior leaders and international friends. Therefore, security and safety assurance work must be deployed with proactive spirit from early on, from afar; develop scientific and strict protection plans, absolutely not to let passivity or surprise occur in any situation. The comrade requested functional units to continue to strengthen coordination, regularly review infrastructure systems, traffic routes, accommodation locations, event venues; and at the same time prepare sufficient forces, vehicles, and technical equipment to effectively serve security work during APEC 2027.
Speaking at the working session, Colonel Dao Hai Dang - Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police - affirmed that An Giang Provincial Police will continue to proactively coordinate closely with the Guard Command, professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, local authorities and related units in surveying, building, supplementing and completing plans to ensure security and safety to serve APEC 2027 High-Level Week. The comrade said that the Provincial Police will mobilize maximum forces and vehicles, and synchronously deploy professional measures to maintain the stability of security and order, creating a safe and favorable environment for successfully organizing this important foreign affairs event.
The organization of this field survey is of particular importance, as a basis for functional units to continue reviewing, supplementing, and perfecting protection plans in a strict, scientific, synchronous and effective direction. Thereby showing the proactive spirit and high determination of the Police force in ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, contributing to the successful organization of APEC 2027 High-Level Week in Phu Quoc special zone, creating a good impression on friends and international partners.
