Mr. Pham Huong Son, Chairman of Dong Nai Tourism Association, said: Dong Nai is facing a great opportunity to break through in tourism development, but also puts a lot of pressure on infrastructure, service quality and building unique products. Therefore, the seminar is expected to become a forum connecting businesses, experts and managers to share experiences and propose practical solutions to bring Dong Nai tourism to professional and sustainable development and gradually affirm its position on the Vietnam tourism map.
At the seminar, delegates gave many opinions to help Dong Nai tourism take off with Long Thanh airport. Many delegates said that Dong Nai city has great tourism potential but has not been properly exploited, Dong Nai City has many unique and attractive tourist destinations such as: Nhon Trach tunnels, mangrove forest, system of pagodas along the Dong Nai River, Cat Tien National Park, Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve, Ba Hao Lake...
Dong Nai needs to create tourism products to create brands
Delegates said that Dong Nai needs to focus on planning, creating specific tourism products, digitizing tourist destinations in Dong Nai City, promoting through flights, tourism businesses with the city bringing products to tourists; At the same time, focus on building the Dong Nai tourism brand through organizing tourism events, annual events such as Dong Nai River festivals, Tri An lake, tourism weeks, cuisine... introducing to tourists.
A representative of a travel company proposed that it is necessary to organize short-term tours (3-4 hours) for international transit passengers to famous tourist destinations near Long Thanh airport.
Dr. Tran Dang Ninh said that in the immediate future, Dong Nai needs to "take short-term to nurture long-term", building tourist tours near Long Thanh airport in the Long Thanh - Nhon Trach - Cam My - Long Khanh area for transit passengers when arriving at Long Thanh airport.
Speaking to direct at the seminar, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Truong Son requested the City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to immediately start building products, and at the same time advise the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to develop tourism development resolutions in the coming time.
Especially, it is necessary to coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to create tourism products, build a tourism ecosystem associated with Long Thanh airport on the basis of promoting cultural values and typical agricultural and culinary products.
