According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, it is forecast that storm No. 2 Prapiroon will continue to move northwest at a speed of about 10km/h.

In the North, Storm No. 2 is expected to cause heavy to very heavy rain in many areas, especially coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Nam Dinh. Rainfall can reach 200-300 mm in 24 hours. Strong winds level 6-7, gusts level 8-9.

With heavy rainfall in a short period of time, most mountainous areas, the Northern midlands, the western region of Thanh Hoa, and the western region of Nghe An need to be careful of flash floods and landslides.

Prolonged heavy rain will cause flooding in many areas, especially low-lying areas and residential areas along rivers and lakes. Tourists should be careful to limit going out and constantly update weather information to ensure family safety.

Before forecasting storm No. 2, Vietnamese airlines advised customers with flights in the coming days.

Due to the impact of storm No. 2, from July 22 to July 24, some flights to and from Vietjet from Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Dien Bien may be affected and have to adjust their flight plans. waterfall. A number of other flights are also expected to be affected.

This airline recommends that passengers with scheduled flight plans during the impact of Storm No. 2 should actively monitor flight information.

Bamboo Airways recommends that passengers flying from or to Hai Phong or Hanoi pay attention to proactive travel schedules to the airport to prevent traffic jams due to flooding, leading to flight delays.

The airline said that in the event of a storm, to ensure absolute safety for flights, passengers' flight departure schedules may have to be adjusted.

Previously, Hai Phong also temporarily suspended boat and passenger cable car operations during the time storm No. 2 landed.
