If you want to conquer the peak of Ky Quan San, also known as Bach Moc Luong Tu, you just need to bring enough warm clothes and prepare your health. In the beginning of the week, the temperature ranges from 10-20 degrees Celsius, with sunny days, light winds, and possible rain.
As one of the four highest peaks in Vietnam, Ky Quan San is 3,046 m above sea level. This location is located on the border of Lai Chau and Lao Cai provinces. Visitors can trek in two directions: from Sang Ma Sao, Bat Xat district (Lao Cai) or from Den Sung village, Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district (Lai Chau).
The ideal time to climb Ky Quan San is from August to March of the following year because the weather is cool. However, from December to January is quite cold, visitors should remember to prepare enough warm clothes to avoid heat loss.
In Dien Bien, Son La, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, it is sunny. In Hoa Binh, it rains sometimes. The lowest temperature is from: 19-22 degrees Celsius, some places below 18 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature is from: 27-30 degrees Celsius, some places above 30 degrees Celsius.
