Regarding this issue, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism informed that in Thu Duc City there is no 3-star hotel class because tourist accommodation establishments do not propose to consider returning to star class.
Besides hotels, other types of accommodation in Thu Duc City such as tourist apartments and resort homestays tend to develop rapidly and on a large scale.
Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism will coordinate with Thu Duc City People's Committee to review quality and services, and mobilize tourist apartments and resort homestays in the area with suitable scale and quality to register for star ratings.
