HCMC renews MICE tourism ecosystem, increases opportunities to attract customers

HCMC - The city's tourism industry is stepping up the renewal of the MICE tourism ecosystem to attract customers and enhance the experience.

Ho Chi Minh City is renewing the MICE tourism ecosystem (resort tourism combined with conferences, event organizations) with unique products and expanded experiences after administrative mergers. This direction is to meet the increasing demand of the domestic and international MICE customer market.

Taking advantage of the expanding urban space and increasingly complete infrastructure, travel businesses are promoting inter-regional product development, improving service quality and enhancing linkages to create sustainable competitive advantages.

Talking to Lao Dong, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour Company said that Ho Chi Minh City possesses great advantages in infrastructure, international brand and a methodical MICE development strategy. However, to affirm its leading position in the region, the city needs to focus on quality human resources, customer experience and create a clear difference in products.

From now until the end of the year, the enterprise will launch an inter-regional MICE package HCMC - Binh Duong - Vung Tau - Mekong for the international market, aiming to characterize the conference and team building product line combined with touring HCMC.

The company also promotes cooperation with hotels and large conference centers to ensure international standards and synchronization in all MICE services. At the same time, strengthen logistics support to exploit the advantages of administrative mergers.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, after the merger, the city will form a diverse "identity triangle", with localities complementing each other. This is the premise for building typical tourism products of Ho Chi Minh City, more explosive and attractive. Therefore, the city has all the strengths to develop MICE tourism.

Many new products are being formed, such as urban - factory tours combined with visits to typical attractions of Ho Chi Minh City with experiences at factories, high-tech industrial parks and craft villages in Binh Duong; eco-tourism - golf products along the Saigon River serving the MICE and resort segment.

Ho Chi Minh City has been honored as "Asia's Leading MICE Tourism Destination" for 5 consecutive years at the World MICE Awards. This demonstrates the city's professional position and strong development potential on the regional MICE map.
