In order to affirm its position as an international tourism gateway, Ho Chi Minh City is promoting a series of large-scale promotion activities, aiming to sustainably attract high-quality tourists.

In order to promote and promote the image of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in the world, the city's tourism industry is simultaneously implementing many activities.

Taking place from August 27 - 29, the 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC 2026) has completed preparations, ready for the largest-scale event since its first appearance in 2005. The event continues to affirm its role as a leading promotion platform, accompanying the integration process and enhancing Vietnam's tourism position in the international arena.

Marking the 20-year milestone, the fair is expected to gather more than 520 exhibition and brand units; 34 provinces and cities; 260 high-end international buyers from more than 40 countries and territories; about 600 international delegates, 50 high-level delegations, 60 international press agencies and 30,000 visitors. Notably, more than 21,000 B2B trade appointments have been arranged in advance.

According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, with the theme "Vibrant connection - Global destination", the value of ITE HCMC is not only in the scale of the organization but also in the depth of connection, cooperation and dialogue activities.

The Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism expects the fair to bring practical value to both businesses and people through stimulus programs and tourism incentives, contributing to making Ho Chi Minh City a global destination, where people themselves participate in creating and developing the tourism industry.

In addition to domestic events, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism is currently coordinating with Vietnam Airlines to organize the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City - Australia tourism promotion program (lasting until August 13), taking Sydney as a key destination. This activity contributes to strengthening international integration, expanding the foreign tourist market and promoting destinations abroad.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the series of activities helps bring new products and experiences of the city to more deeply reach businesses and distribution systems in Australia. Close connections with local partners help Ho Chi Minh City grasp market trends, develop products suitable for each segment and transform promotion activities into real cooperation opportunities.

The program is expected to strongly promote two-way traffic, especially the high-quality segment, thereby affirming Vietnam's role as an international tourism gateway and enhancing its attractiveness on the regional tourism map.
