According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the first 9 months of 2025, the city welcomed more than 5.88 million international visitors and more than 29.17 million domestic visitors; total tourism revenue reached more than 184,600 billion VND.
These positive figures show the strong recovery momentum of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry, creating a foundation for the year-end acceleration phase.
Talking to Lao Dong about the year-end tourism market trend, Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Travel Company said that Ho Chi Minh City is a key growth route for Vietnam tourism in the upcoming peak season. City tour products, night experiences, festivals, and islands are attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
Mr. Vu commented that the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival scheduled to take place at the end of the year is expected to become a driving force to attract tourists, when combining many unique products such as river performing arts, night markets, Southern food festivals, folk shows, water sports, yacht services and outdoor entertainment. In particular, integrating ecological factors, towards green and sustainable tourism is considered a highlight to meet the needs of international visitors.
