According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, previously, the Vietnam National UNESCO Committee sent a summary report on the Van Long - Kim Bang - Tam Chuc White-billed Langur Cultural and Ecological Landscape Area to the World Heritage Center (UNESCO) requesting consideration for inclusion in the expected list. In a short time, the World Heritage Center issued a written response, confirming that the dossier met the requirements according to the Guidance on Implementing the World Heritage Convention. On that basis, the protected area was officially updated to the expected World Heritage List.
One of the highlights of the dossier is the integrated management approach according to landscape scale, based on the principle of ecological linkage and inter-regional governance, in order to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem and core biological processes.
The inclusion of the Van Long - Kim Bang - Tam Chuc White-billed Langur Cultural and Ecological Landscape Area in the World Heritage List expected on the system of the World Heritage Center marks a strategic starting milestone in the roadmap towards the goal of official registration in 2028.
