Experience heritage with one QR code scan
On the morning of June 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province organized the implementation of communication method conversion activities at the Ponagar Tower relic site towards the 6th Cham National Culture Festival in 2026.
The highlight in this deployment is the integration of QR codes on sightseeing cards, bus tickets and related publications at Thap Ba Ponagar.
Through code scanning, tourists can easily access content introducing Cham history and culture right on their personal devices.
In addition, the relic site is also equipped with a touch screen, helping visitors combine direct sightseeing and digital space exploration.
The integrated digital content includes: searching for Cham cultural information; exploring digital maps of Cham towers; experiencing 3D tour routes of relic and museum space; learning about 3D collections of artifacts, national treasures and typical artifacts of Cham ethnic culture.
Digitizing to preserve and spread heritage values
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, the development of digital communication solutions aims to meet the requirements of innovating heritage introduction methods, while improving the quality of service for domestic and international tourists.
This activity is one of the specific tasks to concretize the orientation "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era". In which, digital technology is identified as an important solution to connect heritage with the community, improving the effectiveness of preserving and promoting cultural values.
The application of digital technology at Thap Ba Ponagar not only creates new experiences for tourists but also contributes to the formation of a data system serving heritage conservation, research and management.
Through space digitization and cultural content, the values of Cham heritage are preserved in the form of digital data, creating favorable conditions for future lookup, updating and exploitation.
This solution also expands access to heritage for those who do not have the conditions to directly visit Khanh Hoa. Through the digital environment, the public can learn about architecture, history, artifacts and unique cultural values of the Cham community.
