Sunisa “Suni” Lee - American gymnast of H'Mong descent stated that she craves for phở after finishing her competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After winning a total of 3 medals at this year's Olympic Games, Sunisa Lee revealed: “I crave for phở. I crave for a dish like phở or a soup. But honestly, I do not know where to find those dishes. That is indeed a part of Asia within me”.
Immediately, Sunisa's fans shared this information on social media and helped her find a phở restaurant in Paris.
Although, phở is listed in the menu at the Olympic Village, many fans suggested locations outside.
Some specific suggestions were made by fans including Pho Bobun in the 9th arrondissement, restaurants in the 13th arrondissement, Asian café Panasia on the top floor of Galeries Lafayette, and Pho 14 Opéra near the Louvre Museum.
This is not the first time Sunisa has revealed her favorite food after competing at the Olympics.
At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, the American gymnast shared her desire to eat pizza after winning the gold medal in the women's artistic gymnastics all-around event. She later posted a photo of herself enjoying pepperoni pizza in bed, wearing her Olympic uniform with a bright smile.
According to TripAdvisor, there are 61 restaurants serving phở in Paris. Fans are eagerly waiting for a similar photo of Sunisa enjoying a bowl of Vietnamese phở that she has longed for after her impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Sunisa “Suni” Lee was born in 2003, is a professional gymnast of the US team. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she won a total of three medals, including the gold medal in the women's artistic gymnastics team all-around event, the bronze medal in the women's artistic gymnastics individual all-around event, and the bronze medal in the women's uneven bars event, bringing her total Olympic medals to 6.
