Vietnam Phở Festival 2024 is a series of events aimed at honoring phở - a representative dish that embodies the essence of Vietnam's wet rice civilization.
At the festival, many famous phở brands from Vietnam along with some renowned phở brands in Seoul (South Korea) will serve Korean diners. It is expected that there will be about 80 phở stalls and other dishes at this festival.
Additionally, the organizers will arrange exhibition spaces, cultural experiences, tourism, economy... such as the journey of phở, phở and Vietnamese tourism; culinary art exchanges; folk games...
Especially, the organizers will also hold a business matching program, creating opportunities for economic meetings and connections between businesses of the two countries, focusing on tourism, agricultural products, spices... About 200 businesses are expected to participate.
At the Vietnam Phở Festival 2024 press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 29, Mr. Phạm Huy Bình - Chairman of Saigontourist Group stated that South Korea is currently the leading international tourist market for Vietnam. This is also a country with a large Vietnamese expatriate community living and working.
The festival contributes to promoting the essence of Vietnamese cuisine to the world. Through this, it creates a highlight to attract more Korean tourists to Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
Vietnam Phở Festival 2024 is expected to bring to the people of South Korea, Vietnamese living in South Korea, and international tourists the opportunity to explore the values, history, and culinary culture of Vietnam through phở.
At the same time, it explores the special harmony of phở in culinary culture, friendship, art, tourism, economy, diplomacy... between the two countries. Previously, in 2023, the Vietnamese phở festival was held in Japan.
