On May 5, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province said that the total number of tourists to the province before and during the holiday is estimated at 47,930, down 46% over the same period in 2024.
Revenue from tourism activities reached about 18.7 billion VND, down 9%. The main reason is that some key attractions such as the Sea of Lake and Plei Ai relic are in the process of investment and repair.
The accommodation segment still contributes greatly to total revenue, with about 8,500 visitors, bringing in over 12 billion VND in revenue.
Tourist attractions in the province welcomed a total of more than 39,000 visitors, with revenue of about 6.2 billion VND. The most prominent is the Gia Lai Provincial Museum, which attracts more than 18,200 visitors thanks to organizing cultural and culinary activities and exhibition exhibitions to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
Some other destinations such as Hoan Kiem Sea (6,000), Dien Hong Park (2,000), K50 waterfall (19,900), Se San River fishing village - Mo waterfall (1,000), Phu Cuong waterfall (500) also attract a stable number of visitors.
In the coming time, Gia Lai will continue to invest in tourism infrastructure and innovate products to increase attraction during the upcoming peak seasons.
