The world-famous travel magazine praises Da Nang as “the best place for an idyllic coastal vacation while Hanoi is ideal for its “simple vibes”.
Da Nang, ranked 3rd on the list, is famous for Son Tra peninsula , has a beautiful long coastline, with a series of hotels with beach views with large windows, balconies and infinity pools.
The Australia-based magazine said solo travelers on a budget don't need to worry because the average room price here is 1 million VND. From Da Nang, visitors can easily visit Hoi An ancient town, a 30-minute drive away, and Hue city, the ancient capital of Vietnam.
Ranked 6th on the list is Hanoi. Solo travelers should explore the old town, a colorful maze of narrow streets lined with shops and street eateries.
Lonely Planet suggests that visitors stop to rest at one of the cafes and order a cup of coffee while admiring the streets.
In particular, the magazine commented that Vietnamese people are very hospitable, so tourists should not be too surprised to see young people starting conversations to practice communicating in English.
