Vietnam welcomed more than 6 million international visitors in the first quarter of 2025. This is the highest number of international visitors in a quarter ever.

According to the socio-economic statistics report for the first quarter of 2025 of the Statistical Office, in March 2025, international visitors to our country reached more than 2.05 million, an increase of 28.5% over the same period last year.

In the first quarter of 2025, international visitors to Vietnam reached more than 6 million, an increase of 29.6% over the same period last year.

Of which, international visitors arriving by air reached 5.2 million, accounting for 86.4% of international visitors and increasing by 34.0%.

The number of Vietnamese people exiting the country reached 2.7 million, 2.2 times higher than the same period last year.

International visitors entering the country by road reached 685,500 - an increase of 9.6%, while by sea reached 133,000 - a decrease of 2.7%.

China continues to be the largest market sending visitors in the first 3 months of the year, with nearly 1.6 million arrivals. Second place is Korea with nearly 1.3 million visitors.

The remaining markets in the top 10 markets sending the largest visitors in the first quarter are Taiwan (China), the US, Cambodia, Japan, Australia, India, Malaysia, and Russia.

According to the statistics office, Vietnam welcomed a record number of international visitors in the first 3 months of the year thanks to favorable visa policies and promoted tourism promotion and promotion programs. In addition, prestigious tourism awards presented by international organizations have attracted tourists.
