Bustling flights to welcome international visitors
Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with AeroFlot Airline Representative in Vietnam and relevant agencies and units to organize a flight welcoming from Moscow, Russian Federation to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa.
Flight SU294 departed from Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow at 7:00 p.m. on March 22 (local time) and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 9:30 a.m. on March 23, carrying 292 passengers.
This is the first commercial flight to bring Russian tourists from Moscow City (Russia) to Khanh Hoa (Vietnam) after a temporary suspension of operations.
According to AeroFlot Airline in Vietnam, in the first phase, the flight frequency is expected to be 3 flights/week. All guests will stay for 5 nights or more at 3-5 star hotels and follow a comprehensive travel program.
Previously, on March 17, the charter flight route from Irkutsk city to Cam Ranh was reopened.
And in the coming time, it will continue to operate charter flights from Ekaterinburg, Kabarovsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Krasnojarsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Blagoveschensk of Russia to Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa Airport with the expected flight frequency in March being 12 flights/month, April to June 2025, from 50 - 55 flights/month and July 2025 being 90 - 100 flights/month.
According to the leader of Khanh Hoa province, the opening of direct flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa is an important breakthrough in promoting tourism.
The direct flight time from Moscow to Cam Ranh is only about 10 -11 hours, helping Russian tourists shorten travel time, reduce airfares, and create favorable conditions to promote the growth of the Russian tourist market.
Improving the quality of tourism products
According to statistics from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism from the beginning of January 2025 to now, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 9 international cruise ships with more than 14,758 tourists on the shore to visit.
According to the registration schedule from shipping lines as of December 2025, Khanh Hoa will welcome 16 trips with about 29,850 visitors. This is a positive signal for the recovery and development of cruise tourism activities in Khanh Hoa.
In 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry strives to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 6.6 million domestic visitors and 5.2 million international visitors, with tourism revenue reaching VND 60,000 billion.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa, to welcome the return of international visitors, especially the Russian tourist market, the locality is implementing a series of cultural and sports activities, creating a highlight to serve tourists.
In particular, accommodation facilities and destinations have been improving and enhancing service quality. In particular, each line of international and domestic visitors is built with a suitable resort program.
The locality also coordinates with businesses to improve the quality of human resources to meet the needs of tourists.
