According to data released by the Statistics Office on the morning of December 6, 2025, international visitors to our country reached nearly 1.98 million, an increase of 14.2% over the previous month and an increase of 15.6% over the same period last year.
In the first eleven months of 2025, international visitors to Vietnam reached 19.15 million. Accumulated in 11 months, international visitors to Vietnam reached 19.15 million, an increase of 21% over the same period in 2024 and surpassing the record of 18 million in 2019.
This is the highest number of international visitors that Vietnam has ever recorded in the 65-year history of the formation, construction and development of the tourism industry.
The Statistics Office believes that the growth momentum comes from more open visa policies, increased tourism promotion activities, and many localities organizing large-scale events.

China continues to be the largest market sending visitors with nearly 4.8 million visitors in 11 months, accounting for nearly 40%. South Korea ranked second with more than 3.9 million visitors.
Northeast Asia remains the main group of visitors, with four key markets including mainland China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan (China) accounting for 76% of the total number of visitors, equivalent to nearly 10.6 million visits.
The next markets in the top 10 include the US, India, Cambodia, Russia, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines.
Of which, Russia is the market with the strongest growth so far in 2025, with more than 592,000 visitors, 2.5 times higher than the same period last year.
Some markets in the high growth group include China, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and India, with an increase of about 30-40% over the same period.
In 2025, the Vietnamese tourism industry aims to welcome 25 million international visitors, an increase of 42% compared to 17.6 million in 2024.
