Vietnam was voted by the Agoda platform as 5th in the list of most attractive diving spots in Asia.

diving tourism is a trend that brings "addictive" adventures to tourists, especially loved by young people and international visitors.

A survey in 11 recent countries by the Agoda platform shows that up to 40% of tourists are willing to spend an additional 15 - 30% of their cost on diving experiences.

Notably, 75% of diving enthusiasts prioritize destinations with coral reefs - a factor that helps Asia, especially Southeast Asia, maintain its position as an "Paradise" to explore underwater.

With a coastline of more than 3,000km, thousands of large and small islands and a strong coastal cultural identity, Vietnam is considered to have great potential to develop diving tourism products.

From Nha Trang, Cu Lao Cham to Phu Quoc Island, each coastal area has a separate ecosystem, combining natural beauty and increasingly specialized tourism services.

Among them, Phu Quoc is the "capital" of diving in Vietnam. The island is known as the "pearl" of Vietnam and is one of the main reasons why Vietnam is in the Top best diving destinations in Asia.

Phu Quoc stands out with ideal natural conditions, from a year-round mild climate, clear ocean waters to good underwater views and a diverse coral ecosystem and marine life. All create a perfect tropical setting, where visitors can easily immerse themselves in the ocean, enjoy a feeling of freedom, relaxation and refreshment - an experience that both stimulates the senses and heals the soul.

In particular, when mentioning diving in Phu Quoc, it is impossible not to mention the South of the island, which owns the most brilliant coral reefs and the clearest water of the pearl island. This is an ideal place for all types of diving, from scuba diving for beginners, free diving for those who love challenges, to snorkeling for the whole family.

The most prominent of the experiences exploring the South is the tour of 3 islands, taking visitors to Hon Mong Tay, Hon Gam Ri and Hon May rot - one of Phu Quoc's typical journeys, attracting thousands of visitors every year, especially international visitors.

The tour starts at Hon Mong Tay - an ideal check-in spot in the middle of pristine nature sought after by tourists. Next, the canoe will take visitors to Hon Gam Ri - a "side paradise" of diving with brilliant coral reefs and tropical fish swimming right at the foot.

Here, visitors can choose snorkeling or scuba diving with a trainer to explore the world under the blue sea. The end point is Hon May rot, where visitors can relax, swim, take photos and enjoy attractive coastal seafood.

In addition, Sun World Hon Thom is also a "hot" diving spot in the South of the island. Visitors can experience sea walking with modern equipment, a team of well-trained tour guides and a preserved marine environment. This is a familiar diving experience, suitable for all guests, from children to the elderly, even those who do not know how to swim, thanks to the air hat and professional tour guide team.

In particular, the more memorable diving experience when bringing visitors to Hon Thom is the experience of the world's longest 3-line cable car, helping you take a look at the vast ocean of Phu Quoc Island from above. The light to powerful feel-good games at Aquatopia water park on Hon Thom island also promise to turn the trip into a complete and unforgettable adventure.

The ideal time to experience scuba diving in Phu Quoc was from November to April next year, when Ngoc Island entered the dry season. Beautiful sunny weather, pleasant weather, without much rain to help visitors enjoy the journey to explore the ocean in the most complete and comfortable way. At this time, the sea is also the most clear for visitors to easily explore the world under the water. However, the scuba diving experience is not much affected in the rainy season in Phu Quoc.

In addition to Vietnam, Agoda's ranking also honors many other famous diving destinations in the Asian region. Leading this list is Indonesia, the top favorite destination for diving enthusiasts, followed by the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
