Currently, it is the peak season for international visitors (starting from October to April every year), but no year has international visitors to Ha Long Bay been as crowded as this year.
In the last months of the year, Ha Long Bay welcomes 12,000-13,000 visitors per day, of which over 10,000 are international visitors.
According to data from the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board, on December 25, 2025, there were 360 cruise ships taking tourists to visit Ha Long Bay during the day, with 10,773 passengers (including 776 domestic passengers and 9,997 foreign passengers) and 78 overnight cruise ships, with 2,785 passengers (including 73 domestic passengers and 2,712 foreign passengers).
On December 26, 2025, 371 sightseeing ships departed, with 11,545 passengers, including 806 Vietnamese passengers and 10,739 international passengers and 85 overnight ships, with 2,886 passengers, including 72 domestic passengers and 2,814 foreign passengers.
Accumulated from January 1, 2025 to date, Ha Long Bay has welcomed over 3.4 million visitors, including more than 2.2 million international visitors and nearly 1.2 million domestic visitors.

Visitor fees in Ha Long Bay in 2025 are estimated to reach more than 988 billion VND, slightly increasing compared to the plan assigned by Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee and gradually returning to the revenue level of trillions of VND as before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the total revenue from ticket sales to visit Ha Long Bay was always around 1,000 billion VND per year, of which in 2019 it reached over 1,200 billion VND. On peak days, some days, fees from ticket sales to visit Ha Long Bay reached 5-6 billion VND.
In recent years, the number of international visitors to Ha Long Bay has tended to increase and be higher than the number of domestic visitors.
In 2023, Ha Long Bay welcomed about 2.6 million visitors, of which the number of international and domestic visitors was equal, reaching revenue of about 800 billion VND.
In 2024, Ha Long Bay welcomed about 3.1 million visitors, of which more than 1.9 million were international visitors.
