According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province, from August 22 - 28, tourism development work has achieved many outstanding results. Among them, the highlight is the preparation of a dossier proposing the Record "Locality with the most sandbars".
In addition, the local tourism industry is also urgently completing the Outline for building an eco-tourism, resort, and community-based experience model in the Tam Hiep islet area in Phu Thuan commune.
The province has also issued a decision to establish a drafting team for Vinh Long Green Tourism Criteria. At the same time, the locality is actively completing the Regulation on management of brick and ceramic kilns under the Mang Thit Equivalent Heritage Project.
Inter-regional tourism promotion activities continue to be strongly strengthened. The province organizes to welcome international delegations to survey destinations, and at the same time actively prepares to participate in the International Tourism Fair in Ho Chi Minh City.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, tourism activities throughout the province continue to record very positive changes. Relic sites and destinations in the area have attracted more than 13,000 visitors during the week.
In the coming time, the locality will further promote programs to promote the image of Vinh Long Land and People, combined with developing unique tourism products associated with the Mekong Delta riverine ecosystem.
