Room occupancy rate increases in the affordable segment
On August 31, it was recorded that in Vung Tau (HCMC) there were quite a few tourists experiencing fun and relaxation. According to the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Supply Center, on August 30, the locality welcomed about 55,000 tourists.
From early morning on August 31, the beach has had quite a lot of tourists playing and swimming, welcoming the sunrise. The Mui Nghinh Phong area gathers many young people to enjoy coffee to welcome the sunrise, or check-in with the coastal rocky beaches.
Welcoming a large number of customers, room occupancy in Vung Tau also increased sharply in the budget segment, while in the high-end segment it only fluctuated slightly.
Records at Malibu Vung Tau hotel (5 stars) show that before that, the number of room bookings only reached nearly 40%. Currently, the number of guests has increased slightly, reaching about 50% of the capacity.
As for the affordable segment, there is a strong fluctuation. Mr. Dang Luan (83 Thuy Van guesthouse) said: "Room occupancy has skyrocketed to about 90% on the 30th and 31st. Previously, room occupancy only reached about 30%. In my opinion, this situation is similar in many affordable establishments around," Mr. Luan said.

Clear streets, stable service
According to records, on August 31, traffic on the roads in Vung Tau was smooth, without congestion. At about 12 noon, due to quite a lot of vehicles moving into the central area and eateries, a slight congestion appeared on a section of Hoang Hoa Tham street (from Vo Thi Sau to Xo Viet Nghe Tinh).
Parking lots arranged by local authorities still have many empty seats, and parking for tourists is still quite comfortable. This is rare during holidays in the locality. The reason is said to be that quite a few tourists switch to using public transport and service vehicles to travel to Vung Tau (buses, fixed-route passenger transport vehicles); along with a large number of young tourists traveling by motorbike... has sharply reduced the number of cars circulating in the area during the September 2 holiday.

With a large number of customers, food service and seafood trading establishments are also busier. Although the number of customers has increased, prices are quite stable. In the Xom Luoi seafood market area, establishments said that purchasing power is not high, so the supply and prices are still stable to serve tourists. Many coastal coffee shops in Vung Tau also welcomed increased number of customers but there was no overload.
