This afternoon (October 4), Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh chaired a meeting with departments, branches, units and the Ha Long Bay Management Board to determine a number of key tasks and solutions for Ha Long Bay tourism in 2025.
After listening to reports on the current status of management and organization of sightseeing and tourism activities in Ha Long Bay, and the participation of departments and branches, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province - concluded: This year, Quang Ninh province will soon open a tourist route from Lan Ha Bay to Ha Long Bay.
Tourists from both sides will take a cruise ship on routes 3 and 4, thereby making the most of the resources of Vietnam's first inter-provincial Heritage (World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago), contributing to attracting about 500,000 more visitors to Ha Long Bay.
Currently, although Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba archipelago have joined a common home, tourism on both sides is still not connected. Tourists who want to go to Lan Ha Bay, Cat Ba archipelago, must take a ferry or a high-speed boat, departing from Tuan Chau International Passenger Port.
In addition, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Thi Hanh also requested that restaurant boat tours should be opened soon from Ha Long International Passenger Port, Tuan Chau International Passenger Port to the area of pillar 8, Ha Long City; develop tours along Ha Long Bay. At the same time, renovating and renovating the landscape of the coastal and underwater areas of this coastal sightseeing route; especially applying high technology, digital transformation to enhance the experience for tourists.

It is necessary to arrange service provision activities in Ha Long Bay to improve the quality of tourism in the bay, meeting the diverse needs of tourists to learn about the culture and history of Ha Long Bay and Quang Ninh province. At the same time, develop sports products such as kayaking according to current legal regulations. Units also need to arrange and adjust regulations on tourist boats in Ha Long Bay, encourage owners of boats whose boats are about to expire to invest in building new, more luxurious, classy boats with a larger scale of welcoming guests.
Ms. Hanh also requested Ha Long Bay Management Board to study to issue waste and wastewater collection and treatment processes for tourism ships and research and application of science and technology in waste treatment and environmental protection. Investing in completing the system of ports, buoys, signs, dredging routes for large ships in and out, ensuring absolute safety for visitors. At the same time, apply electronic tickets and modern management technology to regulate wharves and ships on the bay in a convenient and quick way.
In 2025, Ha Long Bay aims to welcome 3.5 million visitors, focusing on developing luxury, high-quality markets, maximizing the cruise ship market such as: Japan, Europe...; aiming to build Ha Long tourism products as a 4-season destination in the year.
