Instead of choosing luxurious vacations, many young people today turn to trekking routes (long-distance adventure walking) to relieve stress and regenerate energy.
Nature exploration trips not only bring a feeling of conquest, but also become a way to balance the spirit after the pressure from the cycle of life.

According to tour organizers, the number of trekking participants in recent years has increased sharply, especially among young tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duong (Managing Director of Roam Travel Company) said that this trend began to become clear from the post-Covid-19 period, when more people paid more attention to physical and mental health.
From about the end of 2022 to the beginning of 2023, the need to be close to nature increased a lot. Current customers prefer experiential tours with many activities such as trekking, hiking (long-distance relaxing walking), SUP paddling, cave exploration or cycling," Mr. Duong shared.
Also recording this growth, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai (Founder of Trekking service provider Hai Thich Di) said that the current number of visitors has increased significantly compared to the early trekking season.
“Previously, we only had about 20 - 30 visitors per week, but now there are weeks up to 70 - 100 visitors. Each year, the trekking season usually lasts from September this year to about April next year, a weather favorable for mountain climbing and nature exploration activities,” Mr. Hai shared.

Not only focusing on experience, trekking organizers also pay special attention to the safety factor for tourists.
Before each trip, customers are fully prepared with basic items such as mountain climbing sticks, backpacks or flashlights. For tours lasting from two days or more, the unit also equips a survival kit," Mr. Duong said.
Besides equipment, a team of local tour guides and porters is also considered an important factor to ensure safety for the journey.
Each delegation has a leader (group leader) accompanying from Hanoi and a porter (local guide) directly guiding, supporting to bring food and cook for guests on the mountain," Mr. Hai added.

According to Mr. Hai, to take better care of customers, each porter usually only supports a maximum of three people, especially for small groups. "Traveling in small groups but always having local people accompanying will help customers feel secure and receive timely support if problems arise," Mr. Hai said.
The organizers also recommend that tourists choose reputable tours and proactively equip themselves with basic skills before trekking.
Trekking is not just about traveling or conquering routes, but also a journey for people to reconnect with nature and balance emotions after the pressure of life," Mr. Duong shared.
