In early July 2022, Jose Angel (48 years old) and Sonia (43 years old) held a unique underwater wedding ceremony at the Cabo de Palos Marine Reserve, off the coast of Murcia province, southeastern Spain.
The wedding took place at a depth of 6 meters under the sea. The bride and groom, members of the Ibuzeo diving club in Molina de Segura, traveled to the venue by motorbike before diving down to the priests' waiting room with a photo of the couple. Reversal
In the video posted, the priests wearing diving clothes performed traditional wedding rituals in front of a stone wedding cake table to prevent it from drifting away. The daughter-in-law Sonia wore a white dress and a traditional face towel, while the groom Jose wore a shirt and a tie. Both wear diving glasses, diving aids and oxygen tanks. Reversal
The Naranjito diving center in Cabo de Palos provided water motorbikes, motorboats and equipment needed for the couple to hold an underwater wedding. About 14 divers went down to the wedding area together, and 10 other staff members supported them above the water. Reversal
