On his personal page, former coach of the Vietnam team, Mr. Park Hang-seo posted a photo in Basra City ( Iraq), where the match between the Korean team and Iraq in the 3rd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia took place on June 5.
In addition, the Korean coach shared a moment of fun interacting and taking photos with two Korean football stars, striker Son Heung-min, who plays for Tottenham, and midfielder Lee Kang-in, who is currently playing for PSG.
Mr. Park Hang-seo wrote: "As the captain of the delegation in charge of the Korean team participating in the 2026 World Cup, I accompanied the team during the away trip to Iraq. I feel honored to contribute a part to serve the team.

Coach Park Hang-seo was appointed as Vice President of the Korea Football Association (KFA) from April 2025. The former captain of the Vietnam national team is responsible for supporting the orientation and development of the Korean football system.
After receiving the position, Mr. Park Hang-seo acted as the head of the campaign to support the 2026 World Cup campaign for the Korean team. Therefore, the former captain of Vietnam was present in the important match between Korean and Iraq in the 9th round of Group B the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
In the last match, the Korean team convincingly won 2-0 against Iraq. This victory helped the representative of the land of kimchi have 19 points after 9 matches, thereby officially winning a ticket to the 2026 World Cup finals one match in advance.
