Due to not meeting the qualification requirements according to the tournament's Organizing Committee's regulations, Hoang Nhat Nam only registered as Technical Director of Gia Dinh football team. However, all work on training plans, personnel, and tactics of the team was directed and led by this former U23 Vietnam player.
“The difficulty for the team before that season was to completely rebuild. Fortunately, most of the players in the team had also played in amateur tournaments together, so they more or less understood the strengths and weaknesses to promote and overcome together. Everyone was of one mind and the result was that Gia Dinh Club won the promotion ticket,” Technical Director Hoang Nhat Nam shared.
Of course, those are somewhat modest shares from the former football prodigy Nam Dinh, because the team led by Hoang Nhat Nam has set a "record" in the Third Division this year. Specifically, Gia Dinh club won all 7 matches in Group B, earning 21 absolute points. Notably, they scored 24 goals and did not concede any goals.
With this result, Gia Dinh is the leading team in Group B and received the co-first prize of the 2024 National Third Division along with Quang Ninh team in Group A, thereby winning 2 tickets to play in the 2025 Second Division. The remaining 3 promotion tickets belong to Hoai Duc FC (second in Group A), Tay Ninh (second in Group B) and PVF-CAND Youth (the third-placed team with the best results).
