During the strategic cooperation announcement ceremony between BOX Vietnam and Predator Group taking place in Ho Chi Minh City on July 26, the two sides said they would jointly organize a series of international billiards events in Vietnam starting from 2025, including: World Championship Men's 10-ball pool, Women's International, Amateur Open and Scotch Double.
The total prize for these 4 tournaments is 500,000 USD (about 12.7 billion VND) in the first year and increases to 600,000 USD, 700,000 USD for the next 2 years.
Mr. Melvin Chia, WPA technical director, said the strategic cooperation between BOX Vietnam and Predator is a good and encouraging sign for both WPA individuals and those who love billiards.
In recent days, the world's 6th-ranked German player Joshua Filler and his wife have been present and interacted with Vietnamese players. Both husband and wife also expressed their excitement at being able to return to Vietnam to officially compete in the Men's 10-Ball World Championship next year.
