That is to increase the attractiveness and professionalism of this playground.
On the morning of October 24, the 11-a-side football tournament SaiGon Super League 2024 (SSL 2024) held a technical meeting and drew lots for the competition. SSL 2024 is considered a rare 11-a-side football tournament in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the South in general to compete in the format of professional football tournaments, that is, the teams will compete in a round-robin format instead of dividing the tables to select the teams to enter the next round.
Another difference in this year's tournament compared to the previous season is that the teams will compete in a round-robin to select the team with the highest score to be crowned champion instead of a home and away match like SSL 2023.
SSL 2024 with the participation of 8 football teams including: STP Food, Ta Pha Nghia Ky, FC 91 Tan Van, Hoang Long FC, Nam Trung Viet, Co Do FC, Tran Viet FC and NT Wood FC. These are 11-a-side football teams with tradition and identity in the Southern football field.
“Although it is just a grassroots tournament, the organizing committee as well as the supporting units and sponsors always try their best to make the SSL tournament more and more professional, becoming an annual and traditional playground in the grassroots football community of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the South in general.
Through this tournament, the organizing committee will also have charity activities, aiming at difficult circumstances in life...", Lawyer Vo Dan Mach, head of the organizing committee shared.
The SSL 2024 champion team, in addition to the hand-cast bronze trophy, will also receive a prize of up to 20 million VND. The runner-up and third-place teams will receive 10 million VND and 5 million VND, respectively.
In addition, each win, draw and 3 consecutive wins of the teams will also receive a significant bonus from the organizing committee.
The tournament will take place from November 3 to December 15, 2024 at Sport Plus Hoc Mon football field (Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City).
