On the morning of April 12, the 28th "Da Nang Newspaper" Archery - Running Tournament kicked off outside Tuyen Son Sports Palace and Asia Park. The tournament was organized by Da Nang Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, the City Military Command, the City Police, and the Department of Education and Training.
The event attracted more than 800 athletes from 82 agencies, units, localities and armed forces units stationed in the city, 14 professional athlete delegations from units and localities across the country, competing in individual, team events and the whole delegation, distances of 1.5km, 2km, 3km, 4km, 5km and 7km.
With short distances at high speed, athletes will face many risks such as: heat, pistols, stroke... Therefore, in addition to preparation work, ensuring security and order, medical work is also focused on by the organizing committee and Hospital 199 (Ministry of Public Security) is responsible for providing medical professional support for the race.
Accordingly, at the event area, Hospital 199 has arranged 2 regular medical service teams with 2 ambulances, along with full equipment and supplies, to support and provide initial intervention for victims, injured, and acute illnesses, while handling situations arising from epidemics at the tournament, ensuring absolute safety for athletes.
Doctor Do Van Ta - Head of the health insurance team at the tournament - said: "We have arranged 2 ambulances, assigned a medical team (2 teams) to be on duty to be ready to support athletes throughout the race. The medical team is honored and proud to contribute to the success of the race.
