On the evening of June 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province coordinated with the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Youth Tennis Championship in Vung Tau City.
This year's tournament brings together nearly 300 athletes from 18 men's and women's teams, in the U18 and U20 age groups, from 6 provinces and cities across the country to compete. Thereby, young athletes can compete, improve their professional qualifications, affirm their personal abilities as well as progress in training of localities.
According to the Organizing Committee, Toss ball is a high-speed sport with strong contrast, requiring athletes to have good physical strength, flexible tactical thinking, skillful ball handling skills and coordinating teammates in a rhythmic way, harmoniously combining strength, speed, technique, intelligence, bringing strong emotions to players and viewers.
The U18 and U20 age groups are the key stage of physical and mental development, so through competition, they will not only improve their professional skills but also build will, discipline and athletic personality.
At the same time, through the tournament, the Organizing Committee hopes to select promising athletes, adding strength to the youth and national teams, towards international goals such as the SEA Games, the Asian Championship and other international tournaments.
