Vietnam Television Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VTV9) in collaboration with Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVcab), Ho Chi Minh City Tennis - Pickleball Federation and accompanying units will organize the first VTV9 Open Pickleball Tournament in 2025. The tournament carries the message "S highly with Pickleball - Connecting youth, spreading energy".
The tournament will take place from December 19 to 21, 2025 in Binh Trung ward (HCMC), with the participation of about 700 athletes from all over the country. The participants are diverse, including professional athletes, business representatives, artists, KOLs, journalists and many pickleball enthusiasts.
The tournament has 9 doubles competitions, including events for journalists, artists, KOLs; businesses; professional (Pro) and grassroots events at level 7.5, 5.5, 5.0. The groups are ranked based on the Sport Connect scoring system, to ensure fairness and suitability with qualifications.
Notably, the tournament gathered many top tennis players such as Ly Hoang Nam, Trinh Linh Giang, Do Minh Quan, Truong Vinh Hien, and a number of international athletes. In addition, there are many artists, celebrities and former players, contributing to increasing the attraction of the tournament.
The organizing committee is headed by Mr. Tu Luong - Director of VTV9, along with Deputy Heads of the committee and professional departments, and said that preparations are being carefully implemented to ensure professional quality and organization.
The Organizing Committee expects the VTV9 Open 2025 Pickleball Tournament to become a prestigious sporting destination, contributing to promoting the strong development of the pickleball movement in Vietnam in the coming time.
